My Computer Died!!!

Well... More like it committed suicide. So, the screen is falling appart, I have been missing the "A" key for a while... it's not pretty. Got scratches and beverage circles from being used as a coffee table. And for almost a year now it has become harder and harder to actually charge it. So, a couple of weeks ago it fried one of my power cords... literally melted the plastic on it. So I decided to use my other cord and just get it charged up then take it out so it wouldn't get so hot it would melt. But, I am not perfect and there were signs that it was starting to melt too. And then today when I pulled out the cord the computer kept the... plug in... and ate it... effectively killing itself. I can't get the little plug in out and I can't charge it... so it's dead.

And it ate Jerrod's christmas present to me. Age of Empires II... I only got to play it one day!!! So when Jerrod get's home hopefully I can pry the cd player open..... It's not like I have a warranty on the 6 year old computer. Just going to throw it away anyways.

until then I am going to try not to use Jerrod's computer too much... we use all the same things and he has to re-sign in all the time when I use it.

When I get my financial aid in a couple weeks we were planning on getting me this cool little computer Jerrod has at work.

I will have to always have my external hard drive with me so I can save things. It only has 8 gigs of memory. BUT it's small, its normal windows... XP I think. Don't think they mucked up the limited room to run things with un-needed graphics or whatever. So I can write my papers, go on the internet, and I might even be able to run programs from my external... which is what I already did for my suicidal lap top. YAY!

Mood: Stuck

Haven't said anything for a while so here goes!!!

So, I just officially finished my Fall of '08 semester, and got STRAIGHT A'S!!!! I think I have only done that one other time in my entire life and that was my senior year... and it was a bunch of cake classes. So I am pretty excited. Oh wait.... I did that my first semester in college too... but those classes were pretty easy too. I had to work my tush off this time. Two english classes, a science class, a journalism class (by far the hardest) and an art class (just time consuming). Next semester I am going for at least 4 english classes for sure, but I am trying to get into 6..... I might just forget about one of them. I have to ask 2 teachers if I can be in the class when school starts, I am sure people will be no shows so shouldn't be too hard. See which one is the easier of the two. I have a young adult literature class that looks amazing, just a lot of work. Then some literature classes I am not really looking forward to, but they have to be done. Civil war-present american lit, chaucer milton shakespear, mythology, and advanced composition. Trying to get into the nature of language.

So the "plan" is. To get the most of my core english classes done so this summer I may or may not be transfering to montucky (montana). We shall see. I have to go school hunting. Now that I think of it, I should be doing that now instead of updating this journal.

BUT! I do have some pictures from jerrod and my trip to montana that I do like quite a lot, so I just need to find the cord to transfer them onto my computer and i will share them. I also need to show you guys my amazing wall tree... the substitute for a real christmas tree!

I must go back to work. I am kinda low on the greenbacks. But I am going to two super cool concerts this summer! Jagermister on next tuesday and then NIN in september! wooo! And probably going to do a wedding in august. and and and. Going to rendezvous (like renaissance festival only colonial old west style and camping for a week, hella awesome) and mmmmmaaaaaaayyybeeeeeeee a road trip that used to be of massive proportions... only now... it has shrunk .... due to miscommunication and lack of funds.... and time.

and I lost my subscription... I had no clue it was up. I just logged in and was like.... ?!?!?! WTF?!?!?
took me a couple tries to figure out how to reply to comments old style.

Crazy nurses with tongs

So. I feel like poop. Throat hurts, dizzy, nauseous, and runny nose. So. I go to the doctor.

After trying to figure out exactly what has ailed me at what times for the past 3 weeks.... doctor looks at my ears.

She looks for a good 2 minutes.

"Lots of wax?"
"Yes that and... you have a weird canal. I have never seen anything like it in my life. But I can see your ear drums so we are going to irrigate your ears."

So I proceeded to tell her yes... I have weird canals in my teeth too. A third microscopic ninja canal to be exact. And yes. I have indeed had my ear irrigated. For 30 minutes straight of agonizing irrigating with cold water... And they still weren't happy.

So the nurse comes and says, "I like to try to pull out the wax whole first. Then if that doesn't work I irrigate it."

I wished her good luck. Only mild sarcasm.

So, she took this scary miniature tongs looking thing. And proceeded to tong my ears. At first it was just mildly uncomfortable and made me cringe.

Then she asked another nurse to come in and hold her light so she could use both hands.

And THEN ... It started to hurt. A lot. Like me crying and about ready to start some hysterics a lot.

The other nurse then took over and said "I always try to irrigate it first. I am sorry"

She squirts my ear with water 2 times in each ear and says I am done.

Doctor comes to look. Left ear is hunky dorry... Right ear.... not quite.

so now I have to let my ear heal for 5 days. (Because it was bleeding!) And then start irrigating it myself for a month. If that fails I have to come back in and let them try.

Oh. And. She doesn't think I am extremely sick. Maybe some weird virus that I had before with the virus... I think she wanted to look at my ears to see if I have an ear infection. I don't know.....

MORAL OF STORY:
Add ears to my list of body parts no one is allowed to touch.
